The Ministry of Defense is the second oldest branch of the government. The present ministry was created in 1789, under the direction of Feild Marshal Count Jean D'Adam. The current Ministry of Defense is based at The James C. Proctor Defense Building in the Capital. The Proctor Building houses executive offices of the MoD, Deputy Ministers, liasions and other officers. The Ministry of Defense is the branch of the government charged with the protective, offensive and defensive
measures of the government; provide a visible sense of security and safety among
the citizens; protect and safeguard Bresdennian foreign and domestic property,
personnel, and interests.
The Sovereign is the Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Bresdennian Combined Forces by law and he gives most of his duties to be
carried out by the Minster of Defense(MoD). The MoD manages the overall operations, fiscal matters, direction and policy of the ministry. There are several deputy ministers that help the MoD carry out his duties. The Ministry of Defense manages the oversights of the military. There are 4 branches of the military with over 4.03 million combined forces under their command. The branches are; The Royal Bresdennian Army, the Royal Bresdennian Air Force, the Royal Bresdennian Navy, and the Royal Bresdennian Special Forces. After the most recent reform of 1789, each branch is headed by a Secretary, normally a retired officer of that branch and a Chief of Staff who is always an active officer. Both are members of The Council of Military Chiefs. The MoD employs a civilian population of an estimated 732,472 people including civilian staff of each branch. Civilian personnel varies from field of study, medical personnel, consultations, business and contractors, researchers, inventors, educators and other personnel.
The Council of Military Chiefs is the council that advise the MoD and the Sovereign on joint military affairs and wartime
operations. The council is made up of all Secretaries, Commander-General and Chief of Staffs of the military's branches, 4 Civilian Aides-de-Camp, Ministers of the Defense Ministry, 2 Peermen and 2 Representatives, and 2 Intelligence Officers. The President is the presiding officer appointed every 3 years.
